Born and raised in Canada, I moved to the UK with my husband in 2008. Amazed that the majority of the UK had never had a cupcake, a s’more, a piece of pumpkin pie, or a slice of bundt cake, I started treating my friends and co-workers to home baked treats using traditional recipes from North America that I whipped up with my pastel pink stand mixer.
Everyone would always tell me ‘this is the best thing I have ever tasted’. And my answer was always the same: ‘that’s because they’re made with pink’.
Equally amazed at the fact I’d never heard of, or had a slice of Victoria sponge, sticky toffee pudding, an iced bun or a treacle tart, I decided it was my duty to try and bake some traditional UK desserts too.
Made With Pink was born from my passion for baking, and eagerness to explore the differences between North American and UK baking.
Here you’ll find me sharing tips and tricks on how to source or re-create hard to find North American ingredients, and convert temperatures and measurements from American to Metric.
Made With Pink is currently ranked within the Top 50 blogs on Foodies 100 & Teads UK. It has been featured on popular UK and American websites including The Nest, The Kitchn, Woman & Home, DotComGiftShop, Wayfair and more.
Brand collaborations include Natvia Sweetener, Confetti.com, Oreo, Expedia and more.
